Death march

Zomg, its an NIR blue GM pulling coaches! In this age with Ireland racing towards a completely modernised fleet of railcars, sights like this are not in abundance.

It is sadly a death march for more rolling stock being cleared out of Belfast to make room for the 4000 Class which seems to be arriving every month. Like the crippled Gatwick move back in February, the stock was being taken to some sidings at NIR's Permanent Way & Signalling Stores in Ballymena. The stock in question is the refurbished 80 class. Seen smoking through Whiteabbey, Blue GM 8111 Great Northern pulling vehicles 8089-8747-8754-8082-8733-8738-8093 plus a second Blue GM 112 Northern Counties at the back for extra power and shunting the stock into Ballymena yard.
